A combi heats water on demand with no tank — ideal for smaller homes. A system boiler uses a hot water cylinder, better where several taps run at once. Conventional setups have a cylinder plus loft tanks. We'll advise which suits your home and water pressure.
A straightforward swap is usually one day. Converting from a conventional system to a combi means removing tanks and re-piping, so allow two to five days.
